Keep Track Of my eHow Updates on Squidoo
Since I have become somewhat obsessed with ehow I thought it would be a great time to start tracking my progress on Squidoo. This also gives me the opportunity to build another Squidoo lens as well as get more exposure for my articles. Like anything else if you stay away from something too long you tend to forget things so I gave myself a bit of a Squidoo refresher course by reading Potpie Girl’s free Squidoo guide and her One Week Marketing Program.
I like how things are really coming together. I can build my niche blogs and promote them on Squidoo, write articles about working at home on eHow and set up Squidoo lenses to help bring traffic to my eHow articles and niche blogs. This is the power of niche marketing. You can choose different niches and find several ways (many of them free) to build an income around those niches.
So what is your niche? It could be anything from gardening, scrapbooking, frugal living or even technical topics. Write articles about your favorite topics on eHow and build niche blogs and Squidoo lenses around them also. Then you can link them all together and help them drive traffic to each other. Of course the way to build an income is through monetizing with affiliate products, Google Adsense, etc.
Does this sound very overwhelming? To be honest six months ago it would have been for me but going through the courses have really brought it all together. Writing for eHow is a great free way to make money and so is building lenses on Squidoo. There are minimal costs involved as far as niche blogging but it is well worth the investment. My advice? If you live in the United States go ahead and start writing for eHow now. Unfortunately eHow does not pay writers outside the USA but there are other options available. If you can afford it take the Niche Blogging course (you can sign up for a free trial to see if you like it). Eventually you can use Squidoo to promote your niche blogs and eHow articles. If you don’t have the extra money to get into niche blogging right now go ahead and start on Squidoo now with Potpie Girl’s Free Squidoo Guide.
