eHow Update And Another Recommendation
I have now been writing for eHow for 2 full months and have been very happy with my progress. I am at 55 articles and average around $1.00 per day. Since many of these articles are pretty new it will most likely take a few months to see the real earnings potential.
I should be getting my first eHow payment any day. As an added bonus I entered one of my articles in the eHow Spring contest and won $50. Being fairly new to eHow, this gives me a great boost of self confidence.
I have also joined another writing site called Bukisa. This is a great option for those who do not live in the United States. It is not as established as eHow but it does show promise. It is also nice to be able to write articles without having to stay in the “how to” format.
Here are the pros and cons of Bukisa:
Con: You can not add links to your websites and blogs like you can with eHow.
Pro: You can build residual income not just from your articles but by recommending others to Bukisa.
Pro: Available outside the USA.
Pro: Has a Google page rank of 4 and shows a lot of promise.
Just like with eHow, I really think that the articles we write now for Bukisa will pay off down the road. You just need to think long term and don’t get discouraged by small earnings at first. Articles that you write once can easily earn you residual income even a year from now. That is why it is important to understand that what you do now is going to lay the foundation for good residual earnings in 6 months to a year. That is why you will find so many on the eHow forum excited over making a few cents a day their first few weeks because they know that over time these same articles have the potential for paying much more. Some even start earning a few hundred per month within a few months but you have to stay focused and consistent.
Right now my strategy is writing one or two Bukisa articles a week and about 5 eHow articles a week. If you choose to work online then I believe it is important to not put all of your eggs in one basket by having several streams of income coming in each month. And what makes it nice is sites like eHow and Bukisa wont cost you anything to join.

Some of the most successful earners offer guides to help you get started. I have read and personally recommend them all. You will find them helpful for eHow as well as other online writing sites.
